Author: Ann Simko
Publisher: Lyrical Press
Genre: Thriller
Our site writer, Ann Simko, is truly an inspiration. She never gave up on her writing dream or her thriller, FALLEN, winner of The Next Big Writer’s Strongest Start Competition, even after 155 rejections. Please give her some applause on its release with Lyrical Press. She also has three more books slated for release in the next eighteen months.
SYNOPSIS:
By midnight he still hadn’t killed anyone.
Dr Dakota Thomas isn’t prepared for the gunshot victim that rolled through his emergency room doors. Michael Ricco looks like an average young Marine. His dog tags, however, tell a different story. How could this fresh-faced Marine have a birth date of 1898? What was he doing wandering in the desert at night, alone and wounded? And why were thirteen people murdered to try to keep his secret?
In a world were genetic experiments push the boundaries of how far someone would go to live just a little longer, the main question is… how many must die to keep one person alive?
BLURBS:
“Fallen is a taut, hard-driving, edge-of-your-seat thriller.”
Michael Wiley – winner of The PWA/SMP Best First Private-Eye Novel contest and nominated for a 2008 shamus award.
“I love her style of writing! Smooth, clear, and powerful. Excellent stuff!”
Ivey Banks – Author, Editor
NOTE FROM ANN:
After nearly three years and so many revisions I’ve lost count, FALLEN has been published as an ebook. I have so many people to thank for their kind help, and there is so much I would like to do in return, so…I came up with this: 10 FREE COPIES OF FALLEN GIVEAWAY!!!
To be eligible for the giveaway, go to my Comment page at www.annsimko.com and leave an inspiring comment. It’s that easy! The 10 winners will be randomly chosen on December 1, 2009. Winners will be notified by email, so be sure to enter your correct email address.
Thank you, and good luck everyone!
And come and join me at YAHOO on Wednesday November 18th for an evening of fun, chat and prizes with my publisher Lyrical Press and Talking Two Lips review site- talk with authors (I’ll be there between 7-8 pm) along with many of my fellow…Lyrical authors! Ask questions, have fun, win prizes: including a free copy of my book, bookmarks, tons of stuff! Drop in if you can!

Good job! It’s good to see a writer succeed.
Well done. There’s a wonderful message here. Never give up!

But I didn’t do this alone- thanks to wonderful friends like you and many many others along the way I would have lost faith long ago- everyone needs a cheerleader or two!!

Annie, I tried to leave a comment at your site and it’s still not letting me. It keeps saying ‘there was a problem’ in red. I entered all the necessary info, including a url?
Here’s what I would have commented:
*The story sounds fascinating, Annie! I wish I’d known you early enough to watch it develop. A fascinating journey, I’ll bet. Best of luck to you with this novel and all the rest. ~ corra*
If you can manually enter that I’m cool with that?
I should still get to be in the giveaway because I’ve tried twice!

The answer- Because you have no choice- you are a writer

Congrats!!! Love the book, very easy read, but not easy to put down until you’ve read the whole book!!! I knew this day would come, the book is to great not to share with the world. I finally have my printed copy, all I need is the official signature, can’t wait.
