I have worked as a registered nurse at a large level one trauma hospital for the last 26 years, most of them in the Adult intensive Care Unit. But being a nurse is not how I define myself. I always was, always have been and always will be, at heart a writer.
I still work as a nurse but have cut my hours dramatically over the last year to concentrate on just that. I also am passionate about my animals. I am owned by five horses, one of them a 34 year old gelding, and in case you’re wondering, yes that is old. But the old man is still going strong. We also just acquired an English Mastiff puppy. He just turned 9 months old November first and weighs in at 120 pounds. He will most likely break 200 before he is fully grown. His name is Remington and I am in love.
I also am working towards obtaining my black belt in Karate. Right now I am a yellow belt and will be testing for my blue in December. I was never very athletic but finally I have an outlet for the frustrated athlete that has been dormant for the last four decades. The ranks, in case your curious go in order of least experience to most are, White, Purple, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green, second degree Green, Brown, second degree Brown and Black of which there are five different degrees. It’s challenging and a lot fun.
My first published book Fallen will be released November 16, through Lyrical Press with the sequel Through the Glass and then the prequel, The Coyote’s Song to follow in roughly six months interval. I also have a forth unrelated book under contract with Lyrical called Socrate’s Child.
